Dear Mr. Cormac McCarthy,

I have just finished reading your book The Road, and also watched the movie adaptation of it. I have to say that I enjoyed it very much. I think that you did a good job in showing how people would act when it came down to a disaster like this. The people with families would probably keep holding on to the ones they love so dearly, and the ones who just wanted to survive would do anything just to do so.

I, however, did not enjoy the lack of punctuation. It made the read a little more difficult than is should have been. It was a unique read, but it cause much unwanted confusion. However, I would completely agree with your view on what the world would look like when an apocalypse would occur. In is in our human nature to fight for survival, and most people would do so, whether it was for a family or just for one's self.

All in all, your descriptions were very detailed and once I got past the lack of punctuation, I enjoyed The Road very much.

Sincerely,
Greg Stech
